What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman finished July 29, 2008 at 1:13 am.
Final lines:
If I told you I’d give away too much of the story.
Closing Thoughts: Definitely, on par with Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. An excellent literary mystery a whole lot better than I expected it to be.
Review coming soon.

I loved “Case Histories” so this one is a definite TBR. I think I’ve read something else by her, but I can’t remember what it is. I think I liked it. Damn!
Comment by chartroose July 30, 2008 @ 1:05 pmI loved Case Histories, too. This was on my list for awhile, but slipped off the radar screen–thanks for reminding me!
Comment by gentle reader July 31, 2008 @ 5:18 pmChartroose: This was my first Laura Lippman book, mainly because I have no desire to get hooked into another series, and she mostly writes for the Tess Monaghan series. After this though, I had to buy “No Good Deeds” – the series’ latest (I think). We’ll see if I like it just as much.
Have you read “One Good Turn”? I ask, because I wonder if you liked it as much as “Case Histories.”

I’m glad I picked it up on a whim last week. When you do read it, let me know if you think “Case Histories” is a fair comparison!
