Ha! Quality here? Surely, you jest. Half the time, I wish I could delete some posts just after I've written and posted them.

Exactly. At least here, there's quality. But quality at Bookstorm? It is to laugh.

Eva, as you can probably already tell, I decided to forego my Best of... list this year. I just couldn't garner the energy. I comforted my guilty conscience by telling myself that everybody already had a number of great lists to keep them busy (like yours :) I know my own TBR list has gotten so long I don't even like to think about it. Especially since my New Year's resolution (one of them, at least) was to stop spending so much money on books.

Stephanie, if you liked THE BOOK OF LOST THINGS, I think you'll love NOCTURNES. Connolly is definitely one of those authors who I'll keep an eye out for. I haven't decided though if I'm going to read his Charlie Parker thriller series. I'm not really into thrillers right now, but I may be in a few months. ;)

Ted, I hope when you come back I manage to have some new material up a lot more frequently than I've been managing so far.

Heather, here's hoping we both manage to post a little better for 2008! Hey, anything's possible!

Brandon, I've never forgotten about my blog but I have started posts which I quit when I realized I didn't feel like typing anymore. In fact, that happens to a lot of my book reviews. Go figure. Hey, quality over quantity, right? ;)

You're certainly doing a lot better than I am. I have a tendency to forget about my blog. Or I write a post, then I think, "I don't feel like typing today." I'm the laziest blogger ever.

I still haven't read the Book of Lost Things. I have it on the list but haven't gotten around to it. Nocturnes sounds great. I'll have to pick that up, as well. Sadly, I have your non-posting streak beat. I posted on November 30 and posted again today, January 3!! That darn knitting is the problem. I had to get some Christmas gifts made. Here's to 2008!!

Happy new year! I've been so bad about posting over the holidays. I went from 12/18 to... today. Whoops.

[...] to look at John Connolly’s horror collection Nocturnes. Coincidentally, J.S. Peyton also mentioned Nocturnes today. She’s not quite through it, but she’s already learned not to trust clowns. [...]

I'm planning on writing about Nocturnes today as well! I agree that it was super-creepy. :D I have my 2007 lists up, but I didn't do a 'best of,' and I annotated all of them. I think it's more fun when they're annotated! I agree that all the lists start to run together; I put mine on a page, instead of in a post, so if people want to see them they can, but if they don't want their TBR list to get any longer, they can avoid them like the plague!

Happy Holidays and New Years to you as well-have fun in St. Louis. :)
